We had a late morning breakie barbie heading up the Saigon river. It looked like the ship's mast barely made it under the power lines.

We had a late morning breakie barbie heading up the Saigon river. Molly and I ate a late breakie after our pre-port briefing while we decided our plans for Vietnam.

Molly on a cyclo. I had previously had incredible experiences with the cyclo drivers, but this was a bad batch that tried to rip us off.

Molly was looking for a large piece of luggage, so to help her decide, this girl climbed inside to show us how big it was.

The best tailor we found in Hoi An was Boo at Chic. He was a little pixie of a guy, but had his own flair. He was annoyed at me because apparently I have "man arms." At least one of us does!

This woman paddled up to us when we were looking for a boat to take us to a nearby village. She and her young son took us over there.

IMG_1598.JPG
Molly was so excited to be out on a small boat that she helped paddle.

Corey, Collin, and the woman's 13 year old son who jumped on board to be our translator. I think we helped him skip school.

People live on these boats which barely give them enough room to sit up. They cook, sleep, and even do laundry on board.

Approaching the village of Kim Bong on Cam Kim island

Corey wanted to buy a piece of art, so we all stopped at this little gallery where she bought a painting.

Corey helped out with the rowing on our way back.

I guess you'd call this a sailboat.

Our guides showed us the little covered boat where they live.
