The streets of Chennai, India.

Jason, Amy, and Yas on Marina Beach in Chennai which is one of the widest beaches I've ever seen. Marina Beach was hit by the tsunami last year. In India you often see friends of the same sex standing with arms around each other, but it's not considered respectable in that culture for a boy and girl to show PDA, so we didn't let Jason touch us in this picture.

Rico driving an auto-rickshaw. I would be scared to death to try this in India, but we were just in a parking lot.

The nursing students performed traditional Indian dances for us. This was a candle dance which was complicated by the ceiling fans.

The bananas in India are very cute and little, and quite yummy and sweet.

The children were all very anxious to get their pictures taken. The students at the nursing school created this colored rock art for our visit.

The Dalit village of Kottaikkadu gave us a huge welcome with a musical parade and dancing around the village.

A traditional horse dance. This guy who did the horse dance seems to be the person who organized the show and teaches all of the dancers. I think he was the same guy I saw dance in another Dalit village 6 years ago.
