Lençois rock formations.

Lençois, Brazil.

IMG_5390.JPG
The natural rock slides and pools in this area were very cool. The water has worn this conglomorate rock into a smooth polished surface. I couldn't believe this was natural.

A swimming hole we stopped at during our hike.

IMG_5411.JPG
Most of the Semester at Sea hikers took a refreshing swim.

IMG_5414.JPG
We stopped at a little shack where a man was selling drinks and he had a hammock set up, so I took a break.

A tight squeeze.

Lunch and our destination for the day was at a large waterfall up the river.

IMG_5425.JPG
The longest natural water slide I've ever seen. We hiked up to the top and a local guide gave us a push to get us sliding down very fast.

IMG_5431.JPG
This swimming pool at our hotel is the coolest swimming pool I've ever seen. It was shaped like a river and then past the bridge it opened up into a normal pool. I thought it was cool to see the moon through the palm tree.

IMG_5437.JPG
We hiked up on top of this plateau called Morro do Pai Inácio.

IMG_5440.JPG copy
The top of the Morro do Pai Inácio plateau was very cool. I felt like I was under water because it looked a lot like the environment I've seen while scuba diving - the only thing missing was the water.

Another shot of me on the Plateau.

Standing with my guide and new friend Pedro on top of the plateau.

This shelf on top of the Morro do Pai Inácio plateau reminded me of a coral reef shelf.

Our last lunch in Brazil. We went back to the Jardin restaurant where we went the first day with Rico for some more excellent food.

A very happy Jason who just bought a fabulous painting.

We stumbled upon this come to Jesus Evangelical revival and Chris saw a good photo op.

Byron and Jason ran into this while they were out getting some footage for the Global Nomads.
